mpc3003 - Scan to folder (SMB) slow from page 9

Hello,
Normal scan speed until page 9 (approximately), after then the scanning of the originals is very slow.
It could have been that there was a folder problem so I created a new folder but the problem remains.
The DNS ip addresses are correct and in good order.
Firmware is up to date, but some of you will know that we have issues (only) with mpc3003 firmware!
scanner firmware = D1475560X engine = D1475504F

Haven't had this myself but curious is this happening only on one specific PC and folder or on all PC's?

Would also mess around with scans in Min resolution b/w and Max res colour to see if it starts slowing down sooner or later because sounds almost like a communication speed thing which could be a memory thing.

Seems that smb v1 was selected. After smb v2 was selected, it was solved.
Told us the IT'er.
