    Error cs-402-53 Ricoh Pro c5100s

    Hello people, I have a problem with a Ricoh Pro c5100s, the machine works fine, but if I want to use it again after 25 minutes of inactivity it throws me error cs-402-53 that I do not know what it is or how to solve it, to go back to to use it I have to turn it off and on again. If anyone knows about it, I would be grateful if .

    Thats magenta development try giving service clean id sensors etc what M dev life if doesn't clear will need new M developer make sure if you need to replace make sure you setup correctly

    I take it that you are an end user and not a trained Ricoh Production Color technician. More than likely you do not even have access to a service manual. You should not be trying to repair a production color MFP.

    From the service manual this could be an environment issue. Is the printer in a hot, cold or humid office?




    • Code: SC402-53
    • Description:Development gamma calculation error: Insufficient data (M). The number of valid data that can be used for development gamma calculation is smaller than 2.
    • Causes:• Toner density error • Condensation
    • Remedy:• Replace the developer. • If condensation has formed, wait a while and repeat process control.

    I have an official technician, I had a very similar problem where I would throw a code every 15 minutes of inactivity and when I printed all the prints would stain with a soft magenta background, the technician changed some pieces and fixed it but less than a year ago he did it and now started with this again.
