IM4000 fax install, but no icon shows up

And with no training or a manual, just what would you expect to do if you did get into service mode?

Even if you did come across a service manual, it would be quite difficult to negotiate without the training, at least on a similar model.

As trained techs, we invest countless hours of our time and effort, and our dealerships spend big $$$ to allow us to properly wrangle these little beasts.

Remove the fax option and move the battery jumper to its "ON" position. If after reinstalling the option it still doesn't display an icon...find a service manual and read it.
