Forgot to mention that it prints using the extended Large Capacity Tray.

I got this from another forum, worth a try? I would add, update Java.
Did you try a complete PCC uninstall, Java uninstall and flush procedure? For machines with Java installed on controller board.
Uninstall all apps including Java.
Do not reboot. Go in Service mode and access SP 5401-200 to 230. Be sure that all of these SPs are set to 0. If not, set to 0.
Once done, perform SP 5832-001 format HDD (all)
Do not reboot. Go to SP 5801-4 (IMH Memory Clear), 5801-11 (NCS), 5801-18 SRM Mem clear.
Power off
Power back on. Go directly to service mode.
Format hdd again and than power off
Power back on and let Java recreate itself. Check H&S and ajust accordingly if values are back to default.
Reinstall all apps.
I haven't heard of this being an issue, but I have no one printing a 1500 page document either. My suggestion might only be a work around, but have the customer go into adobe reader and print the job in sections. Like pages 1-200, 201-400,...... How large is the document? Adobe reader is a crap program, maybe have customer try foxit or pdf xchange. We had a church a while back that was having issues printing a pdf of about 40 pages with a size of about 5MB. We opened the print queue and hit print, adobe reader blew that pdf into a 200MB document before printing it. Foxit didn't blow it up like that and printed normally.

That’s the workaround to print manually into sections. They print from server which holds pdf files, customer is complaint that they have to do manually and takes forever to get job done.
Maybe I can try Sumatra pdf? Document pretty large.

If the file is on a network server, any difference if it's copied locally and printed?

Just had another thought, but I'm pulling at straws. It's been a while since I've used adobe, but there was a check box to print as image. I would try to toggle that and see if it makes a difference.

A tree is known by its fruit, a man by his deeds. A good deed is never lost, he who sows courtesy, reaps friendship, and he who plants kindness gathers love.
Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.
