It needs to be reset in service mode by a tech - after the failure that caused it in the first place is repaired.

SC548 is a fuser film rotation error. I'm not personally familiar with the 5100, but most Ricoh models will reset an error code if you enter the service mode, then shut the machine off and back on again. On some Ricoh models, you press clear modes, then enter 1,0,7, then press clear stop and hold it for three seconds.

Good luck, be careful resetting a fuser code, it locks out so it won't catch on fire, and this process should only be performed by a skilled tech.

By "I have a Ricoh Pro5100s" do you men that you are an end user and not a qualified tech? Production units should not be worked on by untrained individuals. You can do more damage than you can fix.

Turn the main switch off.
Remove the fusing unit and make the necessary repair/rebuild.
Turn the main switch on.
Reset the SC (set SP5-810-1).
Turn the main switch off and on.

Thank you the machine was loaded with paper dust and I believe the sensors were covered. I was able to reset the code and machine is working fine.
