    im c300 - machine ok but why does it say on panel - CALL PM SERVICE?

    nothing is over life yet. get the PM call service in the drop down status bar.
    cant find a RTB on in
    its connected via usb (wonder if this causes message)?
    machine behaves fine.
    wonder if there is a SP to adjust to turn the message off?
    Any info would be great or has anyone else had it?

    I would expect resetting the PM counter might clear it. Log into SP mode and see if there is not a tab that says "PM COUNTER/NEW UNIT SET. If not, resets may be in System SP-7XXX. Oh, and since that indication is on, some new parts may be in order.

    Check SP 5066 and SP 5067

    Cheers for that. i will go back and chuck the latest firmware on. if that doesn't resolve it. I shall try reset of the pm counter as you suggested. will update

    1. put latest package f/w on - still call pm service
    2. done sp 7804# execute - the PM counter reset

    cleared the message

    Is it a new machine?
    Perhaps the user counters where set to 0?
    There is a dealer in the Netherlands who does that.

    no mate, its done 29k no parts co were over life. i have ricoh tech forum as well, put the same post on there. they informed to try the latest firmware 1st. because they had a few issues with fuser life flagging up before its actual life? not sure what flagged my pm call message but the reset sp i mentioned above cleared the panel message
