at he end of the PCDU is a cover and inside the cover is a grounding strap- if this cover is forgotten (often ) it will cause similar issues

Hi Silm, I also checked before answering you, I remembered that there were, but reading your comment, I got the doubt, (if Slimslob says so !!!). then I looked both in the machines, (I have a couple disassembled in the lab), and also in the parts manual, and they looked, now because I'm at home, if not I would attach the pdf of the page ... try to search the pdf "discharge"however they are at the bottom right of the slot

I had a similar problem with a 2051, maybe it can help you, the problem was on the laser unit, open it and clean the glasses and mirrors of the polygon

First go into SP modes and make test patern for each colour this way you can check if you have any drum unit problems, if the problem persist on each colour then you go for transfer belt and anything else.

Funny moment with this machine was a newly installed machine after a week i got a call for image repeat and inside the black drum unit on the charge roller there was a squized huge mosquito, how that little f@@@@@ get in there i had no idea.............

I agree, residual image is repeated as residual charge is not removed inbetween images being written.

Was the new pcu detected? Did you set the pcu setting to 1 power off and install and then power on for process control?
