mpc3002 scan to folder - cable versus wifi

    Hello!
With lan cable ok, with wifi not ok.
Netbios recognizes and find these packages and try to deliver them to the wright host (or firewall, that is not very clear to me); but host don't receive them...
Are the login's in the addressbook the same for cable - wifi?
Or is there another reason? All data goes via login in Microsoft and the private firewall.
Again, thank you for your help!!!

I have some trouble imagening the setup. Are we talking about the "original" Ricoh Wifi optio/some wifi adapter on the MFPs LAN port or is this realated to switching a computer/laptop from wired to wireless?

Gift, the mpc3002 is connected with a cable to or the firewall or the router.
The it'ers here are not so open minded .

If the computers are using Microsoft accounts for login, how are you trying to authenticate for scanning? SMB needs a local or domain account to authenticate against.

Firmware up to date to support SMB 2/3?

Workgroup or domain setup? Guessing the former unless it's an Azure AD setup.

All the firewall does is either allow traffic to specific ports through or stop it.

The only difference between wireless and Ethernet is just how the packets travel: beyond that there is no functional difference in how the data works.

    , thank you, sir

We have updated it with the firmware update tool from Ricoh, we presume that smb2 will be updated (?).

That's exactly what is the case here.

    Thank you for the info!

Ah OK - as already suggested, is it possible to acces the WIM from Wlan computers? Next question: Is that Wlan network within the same IP adress range or is it possible you have to enter a gateway adress into the MFPs network config?

You might also consider de-activate the MS firewall for a testrun. Who knows how it's configured for the wireless network. Usually once a new and so far unknown connection is established there is some sort of "prompt" asking if this is a home/work/publik enviroment. A wrong decision might lead to issues for SMB sharing.

We have on the firewall a 10.10.0.x range and a 10.11.0.x range, 2 companies here are united (and seperated) at the same time

Thank you sir, we will check this out.
