Post Ricoh keycounter type A and M12

Hello, does the optional counter interface unit M12 function the same way as the Type A interface unit?

    such as:

    Pins 10: 24V
    Pins 9: Enable
    Pins 4: Color etc....

Would the system settings be set up the same way?

    Thanks,

You asked the same question yesterday on another thread.

    Thank you slimslob for responding.

So is the system settings parameters the same for both Type A and M12?

    Thanks,

    Baz

Why don't you get the service manual for the machine you are interested and see what it recommends.

In the future always specify the model you are working on either by model number or product code.

Re: Ricoh keycounter type A and M12

In case someone needs this info, Ricoh said Type A and M12 have the same connector pinout. What is different in the cable that connects to the copier. Also SP 5113-5 (key card) would not enable the copier with M12 interface, use SP 5113-4 (coin rack) or SP 5113-3 (prepaid card). Interface will send the pulses out same as Type A.
