Actually they do. It is called their Generic PCL printing It is available with all OSx, just sometimes hard to find. I've setup a few. Older versions of OSx did not support color. Newer did but did not allow you to pick if you wanted color. They may by now have added the ability to chose if you wanted color but still had no way to work with User Authentication. For that you need the PS3 option on the C5000 and the proper PPD Installer from Ricoh loaded on the Mac. Without the PPD Installer the Mac does not know how to properly use the paper trays, duplex or sort,
TonerMunkeh mentioned it in the first reply.
With a used PS3 card there are three possible things that can happen:
- The card works properly
- You get an error message when the C5000 is turned on
- The SD card is bad or has been erased and the C5000 acts the same as it did without the SD card in it.
In the case of #2, there are, if I remember correctly, 3 files that need to be deleted from the SD card. There are a number of threads on doing so.
Wow - thanks a lot for the massive feedback!
I can report the following: I've managed to update all the firmware with the Ricoh Firmware Update tool. Quite a few reboots, but seems fine.
PCL printing from a win10 works great.
PS printing from win10 doesn't work - the same "error" as from a osx-box, the printer says 'printing ...', but the job queue is empty and the only way I can clear it is by a hard reset / reboot.

PS3/PDF firmware is not up to date. !.01 was released in July 2009. It should be v1.03 or later.
Corrected by v1.02 Batch printing of PDF documents result in a memory overflow
Corrected by v1.03 If "CMYK Simulation Profile" is anything but OFF, jobs may cause the device to stall.
Problem sounds like the device is stalling.
Yes - I wonder if there is any official way of updating a postscript module, or if you need to randomly buy cards and hope they have the latest version on it.
Ricoh firmware updater doesn't update the ps module is seems.
I looked at his firmware list and not only is it the wrong version, it is for the wrong machine. His list is showing D0125754, the proper number is D4135013A PostScript3 Unit Type C5000.
