I've put together the following for you:

In case you really need more instructions, I just checked. The download file is a self-extracting zip file. When you double click on the download file, it will create a sub folder and copy everything to that folder. Two of the file are readme text files, one in English and the other in Japanese. They are the closest to an operation manual that is available. Most techs and end users just follow the on screen prompts.

Great idea, but lousy execution.

Overall, I think the tool is a very bad idea.

Borked firmware updates are responsible for far too many bricked machines.

Even running updates through DMNX / SLNX doesn’t always work as expected.

Then Ricoh must block this tool:

UPDATE: yesterday I tried on an mpc2004, which rotate the originals, RFUT, it worked, it took about 30 minutes, I didn't solve the problem with the firmware, but by having the customer do a sp801 reset of the scanner by phone, anyway , it seems to work best on new, or updated machines

I recently used RFUT on 4 MP 501's in shop, and it worked great. I compared the updates to the firmware history, and it did the job.
