    General Troubleshooting Query

    Hi all,

I've recently started working on Ricoh's from a Kyocera/Konica background. I've been having a play around in the service mode for a few different Ricoh models and was hoping if anyone could tell me if there is a way to display jams by time/date? I've only been able to find by location which isn't ideal for troubleshooting.

    Thanks in advance 😃

If you print a report smc logging data sp5-990-4 you have described the jams with their location, date and time.

    Re: General Troubleshooting Query

If you print the SP5 990-4 report on every call, it really helps you see how the machine has been running, even when the customer is no help. You can see when and where it's been jamming and when it's having error codes. This will really help you fix problems even before the customer knows anything is wrong.

be sure to clear the counter with SP 7-807-001 before you leave so next time it will be clearer to you where exactly the jams are occurring

also keep an eye out for sp7403, where sc error codes are stored, it may happen that one of these may mask other problems, even jams
