Checked back with the customer. They found something. I asked exactly what the fix was and he said the AP was set as a public network and not a private. Not sure why it could still ping. Anyways sounds like it's fixed.

It could be this. Then look into the sharing on the network as well. Try disabling the firewall. Assign a remote ip to the MFP.
