    color pcu mpc3004 in mpc3003

I have replaced a mpc3003 pcu with a mpc3004 pcu D2392239, as some treats here assume that it works fine.
    But here it won't fit.
Surely there must be an adjustment made to fit it with the dev unit?
    Thank you in advance.
    Greetings,
    Mark

like the other ricoh pcdu units you have to swap the sensor td (connector and cable), if it does not fit completely make a comparison with the original one

From what I recall you can only use the 04 drum unit for 03 series, not the entire PCU.

Strange that some technicians here tell us in previous treats that this pcu mpc3004 fits in a mpc3003, because that is totally not the case!

Yes I have heard this too, the MP C3004 black PCU is cheaper & fits the MP C3003 black. But not confirmed this myself.

Mark see below. Looks like black Cxx04 will fit everywhere.
Imho all kudos should go for skynnyb.

P.S. forgot to add thread quoted

    Will a MPC2503 fit inside a MPC3503?

At $102.00 per drum (400k yield) instead of the color xx04 drums at $267 (175k) or $451 (270K), or the $950 xx03 drums , we are going to start using these. Will make it a little easier on the car stock also.

Thank you guys for all the great info!

Moving that spring is what gives those drums such a high lifetime (usually way over yield). Not moving the spring gives that drum anywhere from 1/10th to maybe 1/3rd expected yield. ALWAYS MOVE THE SPRING!

So the black 04 all around is cheaper. And the charge roller even better. I carry both. The dev units are the only noticeable difference and even then it's only on the front and the plug.
