If it is anything other than home, go to USER TOOLS > SYSTEM SETTINGS . FUNCTION PRIORITY and make sure it is HOME.

As for the data overwrite protection. Just leave it. Most newer machines have that enabled from factory as added data security and it is a PITA to disable even without all kinds of passwords and such to navigate to begin with. AFAIK you would have to reformat the HDD as part of disabling the protection so I would leave it well alone.
I agree. We always enable this feature at the DOD level when first setting up new equipment, and confirm it is set this way on any older pieces coming through the shop when being reassigned to other users. I have never heard of an end user NOT wanting the additional security this can offer.

I wonder by the customer refused to use the machine the way it was configured.

Sounds like you have a competitor talking to your customer trying to get them to kick you out the door.

Not really, but there some customers that are difficult, when u advise them to go for OEM, they'll tell you no money that they want after market accessories, i just leave them to their fate.

Lol, and later they'll buy OEM and I'll charge x3 of previous amount I was supposed to collect.
