    RICOH MP C3002 SC120-00

I had an usual call from a usual client with an error SC 120
well ! i thought it will be an easy task
just clean the HP sensor and some mirrors
but it turned to a nightmare
the service say it's a Scanner Home Position Error
here is what i did :
checked and replaced scanner motor / HP sensor / harness / scanner board
timing belt, pulley, wire, and carriage are installed correctly

is there any thing else to consider ?
next time i will replace the exposure lamp and i know it's not the problem

When you turn the machine on, dose the scanner move to the home position?

Did you check the sensor and motor in input/output mode?

Does mean that you actually replaced the scanner head carriage wires? If so did you use a set of Scanner Positioning Pins to make sure the lamp carriage and mirror carriage were properly aligned? If not the front end of the mirror carriage could be hitting the frame before the rear reaches the home position sensor.

Try it in I/O mode to see if the sensor signal is getting back to the board.
