    Swap the K PCDU between them, see if the fault follows it. Could be the dev is a bit tired.

    Which is better? Copying through feeder or laying on platen glass? Is one acceptable and the other not? Have you tried copying an exposure chart of some sort? Copying the printed out counter page is not a good way to trouble shoot. Have you printed something other than count sheet and something in color?

    I would tend to lean towards optics like the white plate balance. Are the mirrors ok? Not dislodged? SP4603 might be something to check into.

    Check to make sure you have the grounding plate/cover on the back of the PCDU. I had similar problems with a 2503 to had lost its cover. Black prints were dark, copies were a little light.

    turn off the machine
    remove the glass and put a white sheet on top in such a way that when you turn on the machine again, the lamp reads the white of that sheet... put the glass back and try...

    Check the machine birth certificate and re enter values to do with scanning
    4-xxx-xxx think there is about 18 different items to check
