How to switch screen type to classic in ricoh im 7000

    Hello Sirs,

Updated the firmwares but still the option to switch screen type to classic does not appear in the
admin tools. Is there a way to change the screen to classic in this model.
    Thank you

You need to load the classic apps individually. Touch the waffle button, then the apps tab, then touch and hold the classic apps button. Drag the icon to where you want it and choose which app you want. Repeat for each app you want to place. There is a reset button next to the home button that CANNOT be disabled that will set everything back to the new apps, your users WILL find and use it accidently (ask me how I know this).

Pull up Apps Library. Find Program >> Classic Apps >> drag it to ops screen then select Copier.

Turning on "machine Management' in Admin Auth Management will disable that button unless logged in.
I know this for the same reasons as you....got tired of getting calls from customers resetting the home screens, so now I usually enable it as part of my refurb process before delivery of most units

I think the classic User Tools menu is not available on the IM7000 series. Ricoh is pushing the ACT (Always Current Technology) menu.

If that is true they are basic telling most of their existing customers that Ricoh does not want their continued business. Classic applications still offer access to all the current technology while still offering the customer the "Look and feel" that they are familiar with.

The classic apps (Copy, Scan. Print, Fax, etc.) are still available. It's the User Tools interface that has been forced over to ACT.

Absolutely agree. Somewhere on here I posted a similar remark (although more of a long-winded rant) a couple of years ago when Ricoh first pulled this shit with their first IM Series machines.

So far the only machine without the classic apps is the IM C530. However, rumor has it that they will be phasing out the classic apps in the not too distant future, take that as you will. They may take customer feedback and change their minds, or they may go ahead and end them, who knows.

You can use the option 'No scrolling screen' in G2.5 version and it serves the same purpose as classic Copier.

just use the 'setting button' and choose no screen scrolling it just brings all the functions on one screen same as 'Classic Copier'.

you can also bring the Numeric key board on right side of the screen instead of 'Preview Option '

    Hope it helps
