Ricoh Pro 8110 Please wait, not printing

    Hi,

I have this pro 8110, after changing developer printed 100 pages then turned off machine to put back plastic parts.
After power on, it starts self checking, starts to light on lamps in fuser, and it stops eveything. Lamps goes off, machine doesnt have any error code. When try to print from Fiery it doesnt print. When copy, it says Please wait, warming up. Anyone has idea whats wrong?

I've experienced this on a different model. The machine would be working fine then the customer would switch off for the day and when they come back the next day it would give this issue. Only used to happen once in while so it wasn't a serious problem on my end.

This is what I usually do to correct it :

    1) pull out fuser unit and check thermistors. Slide unit back in with a little bit of force. (just a little. Not so much that you break anything)

    2) enter the SP mode if possible then restart the machine.

    Normally this sorts it out.

    All the best friend

You should be checking the SC history sometimes SC won't pop up but there you can have an idea if something is fishy.

    Nothing in SC history.
Just been reading service training material and found that there are some IC sensors for fuser. I was blowing air inside the machine. Maybe there could be a problem.

In some cases it could be a Hard drive that leads to the please wait issue if everything in fuser like Thermistor's or thermo- fuses are functional, formatting ''User data '' section (backing up the user data if scan profiles or Fax stamps data have been configured/created) works the trick.

I have formatted Hdds first, didnt change it. But, i have realised that fuser didnt reach temperature, fuser lamps goes off as soon as self checking starts. I believe when Hdds are bad, machine reach temperature and stays on Please wait status.

I was thinking hard drives too. Some machines will come up ready with the HDD unplugged. I suggest unplugging HDD to see what happens.

    Manage to fix it.
After couple restarts and procon's I got error 22 in sp 3012 ID sensor problem.
Had to open a bit ID sensor to blow toner or dust from it.
    Now its working.

Do you have the finisher connected to the machine?
If yes you will check the button near the shift tray. If it lighting you need push it.
