    Ricoh MP C2503

    Hello Techs.....

I have Ricoh MP C2503 that cant detect black toner. I m using original Ricoh toners, i have tried two new toners but still comes up with same error. It runs toner loading process none stop, which i understand because it does not see black toner. When i disconnect toner sensor it does recognize that sensor is not connected.
    Please help.....

Sounds like the toner hoper has failed it is very common on this model. Take the hopper out & check the feed screw they usually snap.

like suggest by copier tech, could be a toner hopper unit broken, but check also the bk developer unit, sometimes every now and then the one breaks first, and consequently causes the toner hopper to break, try to check that the clochea rotates well and freely, and the filler neck does not overflow, (signal that it is broken inside and does not carry the toner) but if it has far exceeded its useful life (by pm) replace it, it's so cheap
