Ricoh Mp 6001 - Printing light / faded black after reset...

    Hi,
i had an issue on the machine ricoh 6001 that made me to reset all of it. Now it's printing light, kinda faded. I remember that this could be fixed with some options, because isn't the first time i have reset the machine , i've tried to forced toner suply few times but isn't black enough as i wish...
What other method should i do to dark more (use more black) the printings besides usind the force toner suply option?
Before the reset, it was printing well, black real black....
Remember this machine only use black toner.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Flip

Probably a dirty ID sensor. Check SP 3001-001. If it is much more than 100 you have a dirty sensor which will make the ID patch look darker than it actually resulting in the 6001 under toning. Remove PCU, follow instructions in the service manual. Remove the drum and place it in a drum cloth. Clean all toner from the PCU frame. If you use a vacuum, do not vacuum close to the ID sensor as static will destroy the sensor. Use a camera lens brush to clean the sensor followed by a soft cotton cloth slightly dampened with water only.

After putting the PCU back in the 6001 and closing all doors, run SP 3001-002. This should change SP 3001-001 to between 50 and 80. Run SP 2962 to manually run ProCon.

Thanks, I could check that option, but like i said right after the reseting the machine it started to print very light... Somehow the reset could have changed some values to factory. Before the reset it was printing fine, black was dense.
I don't know if there's an option called Development Bias Adjust in the machine, i couldn't find it but seems theres some values i could change, like 650 or -650, to increase or decrease the black (saw it on Youtube)...

    Thanks,
    Flip

Development and charge bias are also controlled by ProCon by default. There is a setting to set them a machine to use the manual settings. It is usually for temporary use while waiting for parts like the ID sensor or drum charge sensor.

I wonder what problem forced you to reset...bad story...Forcing the toner feed will not restore the correct developer values. Find the sheet printed with the factory (not default) values and enter them in all the SPs. What are PM counters like?

Not necessarily with a martini B/W machine. The only critical thing lost would be the Laser Diode Power settings, SSP 2103, and the Main Scan Pitch Adjustment. If the label is still on the laser unit, the numbers needed to enter with SP 2115 are on it.
