    Ricoh Mp c3503 J018 error

hey , good day i keep getting error J018 with a Mp c3503. in my case the paper keeps stoping at the fuser entrance(copy or print same error, i had a bad fuser film initialy , got a rebuilt one that only worked for one week , i came in one morning powered up the machine where got a j018 jam . i noticed that the gears that actuates thr blade in the fusing film was stuck . on opening the fuser i noticed the circular slider that moves the blade inside the fusing film was jammed , so i changed it and got the gears and the blade actuating properly . re assembled the fuser. placed it in the printer and got the same J018 jam. i got frustrated and bought a new fuser i still keep getting the j018 jam even with the new fuser. can anybody help me ?, could it be an issue with the board ?... the fuser motor when tested in service mode works in high speed and slow speed . any ideas?

defective, dirty, disconnected or blocked fusing entrance sensor. Located just above the PTR in the transport door.

Will the machine pass any paper or does it jam every time from all paper trays ?

with new fuser unit you have j018? ...try to force the paper format in user tools, maybe an error in format detection, and the machine pick a format for another, or could be damaged the sensor or the harness on PTR unit (right side) where it flexes as you lower the PTR unit

Did you replace the entire unit or just the upper fuser film?
I always do a hand test first by turning the gears before installing the unit. It could also be that the engine broke under load, try replacing it with another similar one in the car if there is one.

i replaced the entire fuser unit, i now have 2 the old and the new . same j018 error. you same engine you were referinng to the ruser roller motor right? . i took the back off and noticed that it turns on start up . in service mode only the high and slow speed seems to work , nothing happens ad medium speed. i dont have another fuser roller motor for this machine, may have to try purchasing a motor to test.

Open the right side door and check the sensor using Input Checks. J018 is that sensor. Once detected, the paper will usually stop just before entering the fusing unit.
