Which Ricoh driver? If it is the V4 driver or any other "Universal" driver, that could be your problem. The fact that Mac users print fine tends to indicate that the problem is not the IM C6000.

FYI, the Microsoft V4 drivers only work properly with apps from the Microsoft Store that require it.

As for the border on the Microsoft print test page, I have seen it ever since they went to that layout.

I have a brand new IM C6000 that was installed a week ago, customer rang in to our office complaining of a border around all the text on her documents. As this is a Law firm the documents cant go to court like this.

The firm has a mix of Mac and PC. the Mac users print fine its only the PC users. It happens on word docs and PDF docs.
First thought was the PCL driver. I hooked my laptop to it directly and installed a printer and as usual printed the test page to confirm i had the printer installed and could talk to it.

The windows test print has the dotted line border on it! so does PDF that i print.

this eliminates the customers setup and drivers etc. it is a perfect rectangular border of dotted line around the prints.
I have looked through the settings on the printer and cant find anything that would toggle a border on or off.

does anyone have any ideas? I have logged a case with Ricoh NTS in Sydney about this but they are dragging this out or dont know. none of the other IM C6000 run up that day have this issue.
As a new placement on an existing network. when the new driver was installed the old one was left on and you might be seeing an artifact from that previous driver. You might look at completely deleting the older/original driver(s) and reinstalling the new one in order to ensure the artifacts are not causing this. (just my 2 cents worth) Good luck.

Yes there is an attachment size limit of <1MB, and it applies to all file types. Most cameras produce larger photos than that these days. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Perhaps there is a bug in one or more versions of the print driver. Have you tried another version? Just out of curiosity, how does it affect other paper sizes? =^..^=

Well Ricoh Australia National Tech Support came through.

Printer SP 1001-001 bit 7 set to 0.

this fixed it as the bit was indeed set to 1 . I have asked for a better explanation of what that bit switch is but havent had a reply.

    Customer happy now.

Thanks for all the ideas and help.

but that doesnt explain the same border when printed from my laptop connected directly to the printer isolating their network and drivers.

issue was fixed with a printer SP bit switch.

Found the bit switch description in the service manual.

    Bit 7.jpg
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.
