Looks to me like you have a bright spot on the scanner LED lamp assembly. Auto Color Calibration, copier portion, might be able to correct it.For the best image quality, this is done during installation and should be done periodically by the customer. It is accessed with the "Settings" as follows.
Settings -> Machine Features Settings -> Maintenance -> Auto Color Calibration
At one time Ricoh recommended doing this after every firmware update with the Metis 1, MP Cxx03 series.
