I am able to get it to run Clayton color calibration only on 1200x1200 dpi. It fails at all other resolutions.

    Have you cleaned the optics?

Yes of course. That was one of the first things we tried.

All the optics including the mirrors, the lamp reflectors and the lens? Did you test to see if the mirrors were clean with a captain's pen light? Did you run copy portion of ACC before attempting to do the printer portions?

I’m leaning towards this being a settings issue as-
    1) This issue was not present until the SP data was deleted.
    2) The internal test prints come out clean.

That indicates that the settings for the engine, the information loaded from the birth certificate, are all correct. That leaves the settings for the scanner and the printer interface. The main method of adjusting both is ACC. Now you can go in and dick around with the gamma settings. Unless you know exactly how to adjust them you will most likely make things worse. If someone has already messed with the gamma settings, that just might be where the problem lies. To get them back to normal you need to execute SP 5801-008 Printer Application. See the service for exactly what will be cleared as some user settings may need to be reentered.

After running 5801-008 it appears now even the internal test prints are coming out washed in black. However, it appears the lines have almost a digital pattern to them.

Just to make sure, I have a new PTR unit coming for the original issue (mottling) but I’m not sure this will address the dirty copies.
