    J080 Ricoh Pro C9210

    Hi All

we are continuously having J080 error occurring in the device. we have serviced and cleaned the paper path, cleaned the TIM Mag CIS Sensor, TIM Red CIS sensor, Cleaned all optical sensor along the paper path, Cleaned CIS sensor in CIS Unit and replaced feed belt in all the trays. the machine has done 17 million copies over the last 5 years. we know that J080 occurs when paper feed is delayed and usually we have addressed the said by doing what we have stated above but this time around, the machine is just adamant on this.

Jams occur every 400 - 600 pages at random.

Has anyone got any leads to what we could be missing?

There are multiple hits on goose guide for that code, have you looked at those?

J080 is normally a usually a trail edge jam at the paper exit sensor. It could be a defective sensor or something causing the paper to hesitate entering the first downstream device.

yes have had a look at those. Just spent 4 hours cleaning up a buildup of Paper dust off some of the white transport rollers and in between a run of about 10000 prints it still gave us Jam 080 twice but big improvement from getting Jam error every 300-500 prints.

ok. Will try changing the sensor as well. The customer is using green coated paper supplied by his customer but the source file they use to print is Post script format. The paper type in the script is defined as white. We can’t change this on fiery and custom paper setting in the media library.

the machine settings and script doesn’t recognize each other.
