    MPC 4000

    HI

    I have on SMC report a lot of JAMs at "power on".(copier with SR790)

    can some help me?

    I would check the bridge unit doors . I have had to shim door switch tabs to keep door switch down

    Most often it is the door sensors in the bridge units. Even Ricoh has mentioned this to me on phone support before.

    Ditto that, power on jams are an interruption caused by an interlock opening (bridge unit covers the the most common culprit). It could possibly be another interlock, finisher door, front door or right side. Try jiggling them and see how much play you have.

    had the most problem with the bridge unit switches. p/n AW50 0023, i would try replacing bith of them.
