Dear Experts, i am regular facing the error code sc220 with Ricoh mp500, i have changed the developer clean the laser and change polygon motor , what else i can do on this

The Service Manual mentions someting about a defective or incorrect Copy Data Security Card, but this description is false. The corresponding RTB 35 says that the harness of the LD-Unit may be defective, or you have to replace the IPU-Board.

1/ connection problem , double check and use contact cleaner everything related to laser ( specially wide cable with many contacts)
2/ crushed cables
3/ firmware upgrade ( why not ? :P )

Do we need to initialize any adjustment after reassemble back the laser diaode board

1. If the laser has been removed before, search for disconnected or broken harness of the LD (best is to replace it).
2. If it has not been removed replace LD.
3. Still broke? IPU defective.
After it's back running well but copy is bad, let us know, well help you out at that time.
