I first recommend NEVER do a memory clear to try to solve these kind of things. It will not do any good. Input all data from the Non-default (the so called birth certificate) list in the machine and pray that there will be no Service Calls.
A Fusing Setting Error means that the machine can't recognise the Fusing Unit, so checking the connector on the machine side will be the first thing to look at, assuming the Fusing Unit is OK. See if the cables are not damaged and that the connection to the Power Supply is OK.
And he means NEVER
Did you use a C4000 fuser or did you use a C820 fuser without converting it?
You never realize how cheap a professional is until after you let an amateur do it.

Fixed!!-Female fuser connector bust-part not in parts manual, had to get HQ to remove complete harness from another machine, right bitch to replace, custmoer happy-enough said
I backed up the nvram & address book before doing the memory clear, then relaoded-no problems,no loss of data
That's the right way to do it. On this forum you see a lot of techs do this without the backup. Good that the machine is working again!
Had the same problem a few weeks back. I found the harness part # on the Point to Point.
Part nr. D0295334 (connector + harness machine side)
And yes, it's a bitch :-)
