    MPC 2800 duplex-jam J025

    Hi there!
Had a very nice problem. Allways J025 when duplexing, paper allways and exactly at this position20130909_150050.jpg. My fellow changed the sensors - NG. Then changed motor #B2234572 - NG. Changed the IOB-pwb - NG. After 2 days i meet with him at the customer and after some output-checks there was only a little whining sound from the motor #B2231188!!! Opened the motor ´cause you couldn´t turn it in any way. After oiling carefully the 2 balllbearings it turned again. Reinstalled the motor, and now its working fine. It seems that the customer had made no duplex-copies over the years, cause the counter shows 160K copies/prints with 140 duplex copies/prints!!
    Hope this will help.
    Greetings...

Thread is 6 years old, call a tech or test motors/ sensors in SP mode. If it is your machine don’t do duplex on this old thing.

The initial post is most likely a different problem than yours. The cause of duplex jams in these units is pretty common in my experience, and is almost always due to gate being warped from the heat of the fuser.

Agreed. I have replaced several over the years. The old ones warped easy. They redesigned the part and put a metal shaft in the center for support. Those work much better.
