Initial call was copier had no power. (Customer stated they turned the machine off then tried to turn it on and didn't come on). I sent the power supply off and had it repaired. Now I get the SC 552. The copier will come on and start it's initial rotation about 10 sec codes out. The fuser looks new and I checked the heat lamp and connections. Also the heat lamp does start to get hot. (I do the SC fuser code clear). Any ideas would be a great help. Thanks so much !!!

can you just clarify doug if it is sc553 or sc552. 553 fuser overheat and 552 fuser underheat. also is this a mp or mpc. just to clarify -

yep, can certainly relate to the dyslexia thing. Have you checked that the thermistors aren't built up with crap or out of place for some strange reason. seems a bit strange that this would have started after a blown LVPSU though.Comment

I've had few experiences with Hytec - but I hear almost all positive things; However, although I don't know how or what exactly is done to test the boards they repair, there's NO WAY they have an actual working machine to test every type of board they repair - that would be thousands.
Whatever the case...as we know (only to well)...$hit happens

Will keep ya posted... I have had Hytec fix alot of boards for me... Outstanding company... I had one board that was burnt that I sent to them and they sent it back I couldn't even tell where it was burned (without looking closely) and it was the same board... I have alot of good things to say about them....I've had few experiences with Hytec - but I hear almost all positive things; However, although I don't know how or what exactly is done to test the boards they repair, there's NO WAY they have an actual working machine to test every type of board they repair - that would be thousands.

hey, im not the sub standard engineer who cant figure out or do basic troubleshooting! try reading the manual mr "i know it all but know fook all"
been doing this job for 20 plus years and i know that i start by checking the temp readings easily by sp 1106 before i even take the machine apart.
Good luck with fixing your attitude and the problem machine but your attitude will take more work!Comment
