RICOH MP C2500 problem with NIC
Greetings all, I have a ricoh mp C2500 which does not print, the lights are on the NIC running the PING RESPONDS but can not log in with the WEB IMAGE MONITOR
might be a firmware problem? someone can let you have the latest firmware of the NIC network card .. I try to do an update hoping that unlocks. THANK YOU

Re: RICOH MP C2500 problem with NIC
It is most likely a faulty/damaged nic i have had this before check the nic for damage
sometimes you can straighten out the pins inside
you can buy the nic but it is soldered into the board it can be replaced but is a bit fiddly
you can replace the whole board but it will be expensive
it may be worth looking for a local board repair company they could replace the nic

Re: RICOH MP C2500 problem with NIC
I'm with ELMO
Check the nic port with a torch to see that none of the pins are bent.
Clever customers stick the printer plug of a usb cable in there and cause all kinds of havoc!
If all else fails it is going to mean a new controller.
Also check if there are no funny settings done on the machine to do with security. That could also cause headaches with networking.

P.S. I have a controller card alternative but hangs SC 995 does anyone know how to reset the serial set

Re: RICOH MP C2500 problem with NIC
have you confirmed that 5-985-01 is set to 1 and 5-828-91 is set to 1?
can you telnet into the machine? maybee try an access flush...
one of the nvrams(512-1) has the serial programmed so you need to pull it from the old controller and put on the new one
