The PCB:TCB was swapped with another color (Cyan) but the problem remained with (Yellow). After ruling out a pinched/shorted wiring harness, I remembered there is small "chip" on the toner bottle. So we finally removed the toner bottle (Yellow) and the problem went away entirely. Put the bottle back in and it the SC670 came back. Swapped the bottle with a good one and problem solved. There happened to be some sort of defective "chip" on this particular toner bottle. Hope no one ever has this problem, but if you do maybe this will help.

I'm chasing that problem right now, thanks for the heads up.

Here we go again, SC670-01. The toner trick does not help here in my case anymore. When the boards work properly green led is permament on and the red led of bcu board blinks permanently without breaks. When the green LED of IPU board blinks, the red led on bcu board blinks twice with a break between so there are possible communication problems bcu and ipu board. You see the two white flat cables. Pull both of them off (be very careful!!!) and put them on again on all marked sides. The eeprom on bcu I have also set out and put again on the socket. After this works the machine started without sc anymore.

    Yes. It was OEM.
