Savin MPC 3503 Firmware

Hello, I have a MPC 3503 that is getting power to the Fax Board but will not show the Fax on the screen. I’m hoping that a firmware update will get the fax working again. Can anyone send me the latest firmware for this copier? Thanks in advance.

If it is not recognizing the fax board, it will not load any fax board firmware. What have you done so far to tr0uble shoot the fax?

Do you have the correct fax board? The C2003, C2503, C3003 and C3503 take Fax Option Type M3. Fax Option Type M4 is for the faster models.
Is it installed correctly. Any loose connection will cause the main frame to not see the fax option.
Does the fax function appear in User Tools and FAX SP appear in SP mode?
Has the Fax Function been assigned to one of the function keys?
Has the Fax function been added to the Home Screen?

Check the fax battery DIP SW is in the correct position from memory this causes this issue.

Failing that then yes update the firmware.

We've replaced or had Hytec repair a few of those fax boards for the Cxx03's over the years.
Symptom is usually "Fax Icon disappeared from Home Screen and User tools".
Firmware doesn't help.
Memory clears won't help.
Gotta replace that board.

EDIT: We also have seen this on the B/W xx54 models. Same solution - Replace fax option.

The copier seems to notice the fax board on initial startup, the fax shows up in User Tools for two seconds and the disappears. That’s why I figured Firmware might help. I may need Firmware. Thanks

I agree with FrohnB. Sounds like a fax board issue.
I had this exact symptom on an MP3353 recently. I put the board into another machine that I had at my shop, and it behaved exactly the same. Replaced the fax board, and all was good again
