In addition to potential damage to drum and developer, just because it is less expensive per box does not mean that it is less expensive to use.It may not contain as much toner. The best example I know of is from back before word processing programs and transcriptionist had to use typewriters to type reports. The radiology transcriptionist at a local Catholic hospital used an IBM Selectric. With IBM ribbons a ribbon averaged lasting just over 1 day. A new purchasing knew someone who had compatible ribbons for 25% less than IBM. It took 2 compatible ribbons to do the number of reports that an IBM ribbon would. Ended up costing more per report.
I have switched all my clients from Xerox to Ricoh Pro C 751 series. We have cca 15 units on the field, and using only OEM toner and other parts. Have clients that make 2 milions prints per year. I don't know prices in your country, here is cca 700EUR/CMYK set, and one client is making cca 55K SRA4 with set.
I would try with non OEM toner and 'sacrifice' one machine to test, only if that toner would be 300USD per set.
My experience with xerox non OEM toner, for DC 252 series and similar:
Toner yield is less 30 percent,
It will drain your developer after couple sets of toner, even faster if you mix OEM and non OEM toner,
Color is not acceptable for professional customer,
Drum and fuser life is sometimes less 60 percent,
Etc
One customer printed some posters, and put it on the wall. The rain fall overnight and washed almost all the color
Original is the cheapest option.
Thank you guys
You are right , everything original with high price is cheaper , but where is my business in africa the one cartridge is $ 530 , only one not full set thats why im trying to get something compatible with a reasonable pricrs.
Thanks again
Then, your option is to import 5-10 sets.
No matter what the compatible supplier says ie same as oem or better don't listen best to stick with oem buy cheap and you will pay the price in the long run
