    Looks like a regional issue.
    Were you printing from Windows 10 at the time?

    For Windows 10 users (version 1803)

    There have been a few UTF-8 errors related to Mac OS as well.

    utf8 package | R Documentation Hope this helps. When the "Use Unicode UTF-8 for worldwide language support" setting is enabled, issues might occur for some drivers. Ricoh is working to release drivers with the fix implemented, but for now, please make sure to disable the setting when using Ricoh drivers.
