    2232c otional fax problem

I have a optional fax card for my 2232c copy machine used from USA.
The Ricoh technicians in Greece said to me that it have no chance to work in Greece because it is from USA .I didn’t believe them because I didn’t buy it from Ricoh in Greece about 1000€+ so they don’t give me technical support for their own reasons.
The problem is, when I call the fax number I hear from the speaker of machine the fax tone the machine panel indicates communicating but the line still have the dial tone.
When I call another fax number I hear the dial tone from the fax card but the other fax don’t ring.
The telephone network technicians said to me if the fax have some settings, switch to ON the error correction mode and to try a slower speed in the fax receiver.
    I didn’t find such settings
    Have anyone any solution/suggestion?
    Thanks in advance..

Make sure you have the correct country code selected in tech mode. Not sure of the exact number right off.

You can go into the parameter settings of your machine through:

User Tools/Counter>Fax Features>Key Op Tools> Parameter Settings> Parameter settings, and as long as you have the correct parameter setting you can change the fax TX/RX speeds of the machine.

Is the copier on a VoIP line? (Like Vonage)
