i have this customer with the error code.
the samsung fault isolation seems inconclusive partially.

it lists a fuser motor or exit motor fault and a part number. but that comes up as a main drive motor.
and the parts diagram also shows a fuser exit motor.

the machine is one of my furthest away, so i haven't gone to look at it yet.

i am wondering if anyone has had this issue, and if it is the main drive responsible for the fuser drive, or the fuser exit motor.

obviously, in the old days, it would be a likely frozed fuser bearing.

but i havnt seen that in years. and i cant remember, if this box actually uses a fixing film since i think its an HP device??

if anyone has any tips or hints, i would appreciate it.

i hope you all have a very nice day, and hope to see you out in the field very soon.

    Jim
I saw this on a x4300 I think. It would occasionally jam but you couldn't duplicate it. After going for a finished problem it kept jamming every page st the fuser. That fuser motor can only be ordered on an assembly with 2 motors.. some day it will completely die on you

    Hi Vigour, thank you.

I saw a main drive assemble next to a Fuser exit motor in the parts book.

Is the problem resolved by replacing the main drive unit?
The code came up as a Fuser and Fuser exit motor malfunction.

But the parts book seems to show another part?

I hadn't been called back, but I wonder if it's a futile repair in a small room at the customers site.
Similar to some hp colors now.

Do you have any advice or recommendation about replacing it?

    Thank you, Jim

As far as I remember , we could not find the part number for the fuser motor so we called HP and they gave us the part number for the assembly which had 2 or 3 motors. I cannot remember if the main drive motor was on the assembly. The machine had about 3 weird finisher jams over 6 months to a year. These jams would eventually go away, until that last time when it kept jamming in the fuser. I think you have enough time before you have to change that motor. I thin it was intermittent until we removed the motor and turned it by hand, then it died completely
