Samsung MultiXpress X4250 LX error fuser motor failure A1-1211

Hello guys, i hope you are doing good and things will get back to normal very soon.

i have this customer with the error code.
the samsung fault isolation seems inconclusive partially.

it lists a fuser motor or exit motor fault and a part number. but that comes up as a main drive motor.
and the parts diagram also shows a fuser exit motor.

the machine is one of my furthest away, so i haven't gone to look at it yet.

i am wondering if anyone has had this issue, and if it is the main drive responsible for the fuser drive, or the fuser exit motor.

obviously, in the old days, it would be a likely frozed fuser bearing.

but i havnt seen that in years. and i cant remember, if this box actually uses a fixing film since i think its an HP device??

if anyone has any tips or hints, i would appreciate it.

i hope you all have a very nice day, and hope to see you out in the field very soon.

    Hi everyone, Happy Friday.
i hope you are doing good.

so i wanted to post the outcome on this code.

its a far call, so i asked them to open the right side door, and look for any jammed paper.

they said that there was none, but open and closing the door cleared the code.

and i haven't heard from them since. so i assuming its still running.

also, i was thinking that this was an HP box, because when i downloaded the print and scan drivers, it was from the HP website.

anyway, the strange issues, always seem to be from the farthest customers.

Have a safe and great weekend. hope we all get the go ahead soon.

samsux sold it's printer division TO HP... but HP really hasn't stepped up with parts... firmware upgrades...

before that samsux was rebranding their engines for Xerox - Dell and another brand that I can't remember right now.

run a check in this forum: https://www.copytechnet.com/forums/industry-news/ for samsung/hp news

my last job I was service manager ... the Ops mgr and I both told the boss HELL FUCKING NO when he asked about applying for a Samsung Dealer/Repair Depot.

but as the " supreme being " he went against our suggestions...

he put 120 small mono samsux in the NC General Assmy building....

i was there ALL the time ... fuser and feeds were complete trash.. very weak in life.... hard to replace.. and cost of parts was out of this world...

we could buy parts cheaper thru Collins (no long in business) than we could from Samsux HQ.

and I won't even get into their RMA/Warranty/Reimbursement issues

I was really happy when he told them to shove it...

(he did lose the NCGA account strictly due to that debacle)

yea, remember back ? i cant remember if it was 20 years ago. but some sammy's were also sold with the Xerox badge on them .

it was such a terrible quirky design. they all needed to have the under side of the glass cleaned. and it was a total pain to get that top platen cover carefully off with all the screws, hidden plastic clips, hidden screws etc.

i guess after you did it a bunch, it was a lot easier, but what a crappy design.
i still see that same concept, if you can call it that, on the Xerox 4250 mfc.

and the toner and drum designs, the paper feed. god. like they said, lets reinvent the wheel, but as terribly as it can possibly be. you know, out of round.

and with the thought of the poor tech that actually has to deal with it.

Dell's are the same way. whoever makes them. likely samdung...

    have a great weekend Phil.

Yes, i was there way back. i really enjoyed it for a long while. but the color copiers in the early to mid 80's, and the low pay burned me out.

but they could have built there stuff better, seeing that they started the whole thing. and the Japanese kicked their butts.

Hey Phil, have a great weekend.
