    5935 "open door"

Op panel says "Door is open. Close it" Any ideas to correct. Customer is not for profit and can not afford to replace it.

What have you done so far? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Opened and closed the doors, front and fuser (external and internal). Actuacted switches with screwdriver to make sure they were being actuacted. Turned off and on and unplugged. No difference.

Tried replacing that board on a 5530 and all of the plastic posts discentrigeated. Nothing to fasten new board to. New copier time. Will keep trying and post if I get it fixed.

    Re: 5935 "open door"

I have stopped selling the Samsung, to many weird problems and can't fix issues. Got the line because it was cheap to compete with the big box stores. If customer buys it from big box and it breaks they throw it away. If they buy it from you and you keep it working 5+ years and it breaks and you can't fix it they're mad. No more.

Odd, the 5935 has been one of our most reliable models. Nice compact and fast machine with a nice user interface to boot..

    Regards!
