I've seen once where the transfer belt was slipping on the drive roller but only in color mode.
look at the pre charge lamp./leds
ssd will work, but must be at least as large as the drive you are replacing.
what is the life reading on the image units? Did you clean the print head laser slit glasses?
The sub hopper has a photo sensor for full detection. The design of the sub hopper is just perfect to guide spilled toner into the ps.
m2 type ssd located on the cpu board, one small Phillip's screw. do a factory reset before you remove them. this should remove almost all traces of customer data.
a to d converter on ccd board, small chance it could be ram (scans are stored from the top of memory down). did you do anything to it recently ? the image looks digital but I can't tell for sure...
TestDisk Download - CGSecurity
adaptor needed m2 to usb 30$ us amazon . I use a freeware called test drive. its easy to use and works , saved a lot of ssds/strgbds with it.
agree on the shrink. is image on the belt shrunken also? 2nd feed /timing roller bound up?
an easy way to tell if the scanner is drooping is to remove the scale plate and the plate over the other end of the platen glass if its bent glass will rock on the pads.
is the shutter over the sensors opening? how did you clean them.
did you try reset and stabilize? the machine will never be happy while failing stabilizer. what are the tcr numbers looking like?
what condition are the other consumables? Developers, drum units.
The best advice i can give you is to get a service manual for the model you are trying to fix .look at the theory sections for explanations on how things work. and where stuff is.
the code say's the cpu has the wrong firmware. there is not a way to clear the cpu board as far as i know. you will probably have to replace it.
I wouldn't put this on a truck without the transport jigs in place. you may want to have it moved by a licensed km dealer. put the risk of damage on them.
i would be looking at the connection blocks at the back of the adu.
have you looked at the fusing unit? stopped the machine while printing?
this sounds like a shorted or locked motor. I would look at the service manual sequence of ops and try to match when it reboots to a given event.
I use testdisk in the caddy. clear it partition and format fat 32, hammer with testing ap for a few days ,if no problems, clear it to raw with the testdisk ap and reuse in copier. I have found that...
as mentioned already the strgbd, (ssd). cpu outside chance , also any mfp licensing errors will act this way.
I once had one where the belts were too tight.
stop unit mid process , see if the xfer belt cleaning is working, I've seen this when condensation gathers on the belt.
