    Re: Do I have covid?

So glad you don't have Covid. You would only have a 99% chance of survival. Way too dangerous.
  2. Re: What do you wish you knew when you started? What one tool would you recommend?

To add to the tool list. I think my most used tools, other than a #2 Phillips screwdriver (magnetized), would be a small flat blade (tweaker) screwdriver and a pair of duckbill pliers.

    Re: Kodak Tech?

Many moons ago, in the Analog world, I worked for a Lanier Dealership. Their monster of a production machine was made by Kodak. I didn't know Kodak was still in the copier business.

    [CQ] Re: iradvc3530 poor quality

Try stopping the copy during the process to see if the image on the ITB is good. Since it seems even across all colors, I doubt if it is a specific drum unit. I have seen the right side door on...

Re: Canon Image Runner C5560i cyan banding

I'm assuming these are run in the portrait orientation?
It looks like the developer cylinder is arcing to the drum in certain spots. It could be something metal stuck to the cylinder, or it could...

Re: Best Western of all time?

I don't think I could limit it to just 1. I am also a big fan of Clint Eastwood Westerns. "The Outlaw Josey Wales" and "Pale Rider" Are my favorites. "High Plains Drifter" is good, but kinda...

    Re: E0000-75-0103/ IR advance C5250

The frames on those ITB units weaken over time and consistently cause e75 errors. The new ITB unit should have the mod kit and should take care of the problem. Make sure you perform the ITB-INIT...

    Re: Sharp MX-5001N Life Expectancy

According to my documentation, Sharp stopped supporting that model in 2019. that means no new parts have been made for 3 years.

[Misc] Re: Philips or Pozidriv used in Canons

All I use is #2 Phillips. On most of the cover screws, you can also use a 5.5mm nut driver.

    Re: Canon ImagePress C700

The halftone test won't tell you which drum is not registering properly, try a PG-10. The instructions you wrote out look correct, who knows why it won't print the test. Maybe you need a Canon tech.

    Re: Canon ImagePress C700

I've had the exact problem on a C7260 which is similar print engine. Check the color drums to see if they are past their life. Replacing them will most likely solve your problem.
  14. Re: "But faxing is the only thing hippa compliant" whine

I watched the movie "Bullitt" the other day with Steve McQueen. Near the end, the cops use a 70's era fax machine that used a stylus to transfer the image with carbon paper. I don't know the...
  15. [CQ] Re: iAC5235i - Black came out blurry only when printing in color

I've seen something similar to that in really dry environments where the toner spreads out on the paper after transfer from the drum/ITB. The fact that it only happens on black and only when running...
  16. Re: Interesting issue with the MX-3051 PCL6 driver

The document is actually 11x17. I checked.
They were more concerned with buying the cheapest machine we had in stock rather than paying more for quality.
  17. Interesting issue with the MX-3051 PCL6 driver

It's interesting what clicking 1 check box will do. I had a lot more hair before I started dealing with software issues.
So, a customer just bought an MX-3051. It's a civil engineering firm that...

  20. Re: Concern about the future of printing industry
