Probably the misfeed is caused by you having emptied the tray, but the paper sensing actuator must be stuck on the "on" position - hence the machine assumes there's paper there, tries to pull it, and...

And remember: IIRC this configuration is stored in the document - they need to save the document with the new settings, and repeat the steps for every document with that problem.
Sorry, my Office is in PT. Hope you get the idea:

That's an odd one. Do the other computers access WIM without any problems?
Agreed, firmware first and foremost.
My money's on replacing the photoconductors.
it happens with *every* print or just with some prints?
if just with some, check if they're using Microsoft Office and, if they are, check the document's page configuration - MSO has the bad habit...
Seems to me you only need to enable administrator login on the machine.
EDIT: Sorry, I was thinking this was a Ricoh issue - don't know if it's that simple on KM machines.
I was under the assumption that these would stop working - if I'm wrong, then that's probably the easiest way for older machines without OAuth capabilities.
My guess is GMail smtp will stop working on machines pretty soon

Good afternoon all.
I'm sourcing the market for a cheap desktop MFP for my boss, who doesn't print very much (I doubt she'll ever reach 500 pages per month). But she scans a lot, and a duplexing...
Is that punishment? I thought it was how everyone's drinking it in the biz...
If you're going to spend money anyway, you've got nothing to lose by letting the machine sit idle while turned on for a while and then print out a couple hundred of color pages to see if it recovers.
Maybe you're not wrong - I'm not near the machine, and they only call me when it jams
I believe that simply buying a particle shredder instead of a paper strip one will decrease the jams as the...
Hello all.
I'm shopping for a paper shredder for my current company. I have some experience with them, but not much.
Is there something I should look for? I'm looking for a cheap-ish low volume...
Yeah, I'd also place my bet on the PCU. Also, why was the PCU replaced so soon? It's supposed to last around 45k pages...
Then I'd suggest taking out the laser unit and looking down on the hole through which the laser shines down onto the drum - I'd wager something's stuck there, blocking the path.
When you took out the laser unit, did you take a peek at the slit on the machine body and could you see the drum without any problem?
Take out the toner bottle and push the small white stub held by a screw on the backside (follow the red curved arrow) so the chuck will pop out (the straight red arrow). If in doubt, post here a...
Does it make any difference when scanning from the glass or from the feeder?
That's an heavily compressed document - those are compression artifacts.
You might be able to see them on the computer screen if you change your viewing angle (try looking at the screen from the...
Does it happen on *every* print job?
If not, some aplications (MS Office, Acrobat Reader) might ignore the driver settings and send their own paper formats.
Have you tried it like this?

Yep, that was one of the sensors I was talking about - I think it is similar to the one on the developing unit - if you don't have a spare and if they're alike and the connectors are the same, maybe...
Also, and first: Make sure this part is opened before inserting the bottle.
