not resolved yet but an update..... gone in with a second laser unit which reproduces magenta but now has cyan missing !!!!!

Yes i did, it wasn't complicated however the laser unit did come with a sheet of codes to set up as well, which was not mentioned in the manual, so i did that first.

The manual stated download new...

MUSIC failed and looking at results it failed on magenta.. 11591111, if i remember correctly

checked and double checked connectors, after noticing missing magenta put in old laser which again...

I had a metis with sc 220-04.. laser sync error, I could not recover it so ordered a new laser unit, which I installed following manual... the error code has gone but it doesn't put down magenta...

According to manual, there are no values to input, that only relates to a whole laser units, just requires a forced line adjustment after polygon mirror motor replacement....
Also i don't think...

I have a machine (IM C2000) that randomly (and Frequently) generates Sc204 errors (Polygon motor error) and then restarts, then carries on working i've followed the manual, replaced the polygon...

the nvram was checked and double checked before and after replacement, thank you for your reply's

There is only one connector between the BICU and controller and that is a board mounted and soldered plug and socket configuration, you can't make a mistake joining them, the controller is pretty...

Any ideas on this, SC670 relates to communication error between BICU and Controller, I ordered both boards, fitted controller, turned on and seen waft of smoke and burning smell from back, not sure...

this was picked out as an alternative, so was ordered, but when i tried it it didn't fit, the connector was different, the ones in the manual ended 0318 and 0286.

I believe the issue with BICU...

parts numbers are the same for both north...

would like an opinion on this, had sc202, the screen is fine, so i think no issue with BICU, checked earthing contacts to duplex unit, all's well, PSU seems fine also, after removing and cleaning...
