yeah customers tend to think that $10 surge protector from the local store is gonna protect that $10k + piece of equipment. i try my best to educate the customer as to why that's not a good idea.

i don't recommend battery backup UPS for any copier. why? because when the power goes out. and the battery kicks in. BAM it dies because the copier pulls so much power. so you don't even have time to...
i think someone lied to you.... i log into the kyocera website and download firmware as needed. v02/24 is the latest on the website for your model.
i forgot to mention earlier. i did get some defective toners from ricoh a few months ago. i had tried like 3 brand new toners, from ricoh. so you might reach out to them. it was a known issue. though...
all depends on what attachments that you have on that production machine. basically, separate all of the attachments. then you should be good.
just wanted to get some opinions, what do you think is the best surge protection for copiers? we generally use innovolt and esp. though it's the cheapest model of each that our office purchases....
it works just the same as buying a new car or a new phone. each has their pros and cons. there is no perfect brand.
firmware update after replacing part?
print the copy count and compare to the toner yield?
due to the age of the printer, i would recommend buying a new one.
what happens if you ping that IP address from the computer you are trying to use to get to the WIM?
there is no need for you to type http. just type the IP address.
did you try the firmware update to see if that fixes it?
remove the power cord? disconnect the network connection? setup a private network?
yeah just what slim said.... plus make sure that your paper settings on the PC and on the printer match what you are using.
yeah turn the car off before replacing belts, or you are in for an adventure lol
i have always wondered why some techs leave the power turned on when replacing parts. especially when you know said part has power run to it. you are creating a surge of power removing it with the...
did you pull it completely out and look behind it?
shouldnt it be set to wherever you told it to send the outcoming switch it to incoming? in the fax settings? not just the folder section. sorry just trying to go off memory. i don't have a kyocera...
does it do the same thing on regular paper?
im gonna go out on a limb and say that no one here is gonna help you hack your copier OS. just saying...... if you wanna play doom i would recommend an emulator on your PC. that is in no way what...
printer driver? new usb cable? different port on the PC? that's where i would start. rule out the simple things.
i agree, but it is such a pain to deal with. and beyond what most people would understand. it's not exactly user friendly. though i haven't messed with it in a good while now.
HP does have some new models. and on those if you order a slower copier, but later decide you need a bit more. you can upgrade some parts for a little bit better machine. how well it works? i have no...
so you want to be cheap, but you want the best?? good luck......
