yes there is an import and export configuration options. though im not 100% if it copies the address book. i think it does. just be mindful, whatever it copies, if it has a password, it does NOT copy...
google google google..... it works amazingly.
did you shut everything off? and then just try the firmware update again?
sometimes when you replace new parts, the firmware update will fix issues. sometimes it is required. it certainly doesn't hurt to try it. i have had issues before after replacing something and the...
from what i remember, from years ago, some kyoceras you couldn't access using the normal method. i believe those you just go into the menu on the copier, not service menu. but the usual menu like...
sorry let me clarify... is the firmware up to date?
whenever i setup scanning on a ricoh. i either access the address book or set up the email server settings. both are via the web interface.
have you checked the connection between the two?
patch cable doesn't require the modem. all you are doing is hooking the patch cable from the pc directly into the copier. the file would already be on the PC, and transfer it.
bet it's not a ricoh toner?
a quick google search takes you to the HP website, and shows possible fixes.

those are actual kyocera toners correct?
a few will let you set the scan to folder as the default. but from what i have seen, very few. i always try to tell my customers you have to hit that drop down, if you wanna scan to PC.
ok i am trying to wing it on the language thing on the photos. but it looks like you have scan to email selected, but you are trying to scan to a folder? you have to select the drop down and select...
you could always reach out to ricoh or efi fiery for assistance.
aneursym, thanks for everything. good luck with the move to the new stuff. i hope all goes well as planned.
using kyocera toner?
google the issue you are having. you will usually find a fix that way.
actually that's pretty cheap. usually you are looking at $1000+ for a main. kit for copiers. not saying that one would cost that much but yeah.
most new laser copiers, no matter the brand, are gonna have somewhat of a burnt smell coming from the fuser. this is due to the fact that the fuser heats up so much during the copy process.
