printer driver? new usb cable? different port on the PC? that's where i would start. rule out the simple things.
i agree, but it is such a pain to deal with. and beyond what most people would understand. it's not exactly user friendly. though i haven't messed with it in a good while now.
HP does have some new models. and on those if you order a slower copier, but later decide you need a bit more. you can upgrade some parts for a little bit better machine. how well it works? i have no...
so you want to be cheap, but you want the best?? good luck......
driver settings? copy settings?
yeah the release date was 10 yrs ago this year. if it is very involved, i would push for the new copier.
that model has neither bluetooth, nor wi-fi. yes it has something on it that, for whatever reason, ricoh calls it wi-fi. it is not wi-fi. so you need to get it connected to your network.
if you suspect the high voltage, how you tried just using a different outlet? is it on any kind of surge protector or battery backup? those could be the issue as well. battery backup and laser copier...
i don't know as far as the as400 system and it printing correctly. but have you tried updating the firmware?
your copier has the banner attachment?
what type of environment is it in?
what battery? it doesn't have a battery? are you referring to a battery backup?
don't recall hearing of APIPA before. wouldn't you just turn off dhcp on the copier and set it to whatever static IP address that you want it to use on your server? im no network expert. i just wing...
what does the spec sheet from ricoh say? that would be the go to source....

if that is an IMC series you should be able to reach out to your ricoh rep for assistance. though whoever at your dealership is trained on the IMC product line should know how to access the remote...
i would tell said customer, when you see my bill you will wish IT had done it for you. though i wouldn't exactly word it like that... lol
yes indeed!!
yeah ricoh is bad about that. saying it can't do one thing, because something else is still in the process of doing whatever. it is annoying.
any time i see a red light i think something is going on. it works amazing in traffic. worst case scenario. type out a bit of info. laminate it and post it above the copier. if i send a print job to...
is that a imC?
like slim said, not that i am aware of either. usually what i do is each time i have to go to the customer for something like that. i remind them 2 or 3 times during that visit. hey that red light...
sounds like you called brother support directly. and you probably got someone new. i would call a local shop to get a tech to come out to have a look at the issue.
you should look into smtp2go. it has worked well for us since we switched to it.
