Oh, I just realised, you are saying its connected directly to the computer... USB? means its may not be connected to your network in any way... so then you can't really connect to it via network...

settings / std network menu / TCP/IP settings / IP v4 settings / ip address settings / IP address

Just wanted to update this thread to state that updating to the latest firmware made the issue go away, as suggested above (7.10).
Thanks to "wav" who was able to help me with this.
I forgot to mention that it is "wav" that gave me the latest firmware for this printer, and I would like to thank him for helping me!
Just to say that I update to the latest firmware, and the error is now gone.
I will check the printer for the next few weeks, but for now, after updating, and restarting, I'm able to print.
I've dissassembled the printer almost completely, but I decided to re-assemble before getting to the bare bones pieces... Still have the issue.
Does anyone have a firmware file for a Canon LBP7750? If yes, please post the file, thanks!
