Check the fuser connectors inside the device cavity . Just in case they're dirty / damaged or have paper stuck in them.

The Gears do go after half a dozen or so rebuilds.It's important to put new grease onto those gears at every rebuild.This will help them live longer
Upgrade all device firmware to the latest version . Also upgrade the ACD unit firmware.

Try Firmware first , if still no good the manual says to replace the DTU.

I did read the story mate. I have seen on more than one occasion, when techs have replaced the feed station, the feed issues reoccur due to leaking developer contaminating the new feed station.

Check that the Dev unit hasn't shot it's load at the rear. When the seals go , developer pisses out and goes thru the feed stations gears and torringtons.
Is the machine level from front to back ?

Have you tried swapping out the ethernet cable from the RIP to the engine?
Could be any number of things .
Check the duplex unit connector/s and the connectors in the device cavity for paper caught in them. I had this cause similar issues. cheers

For example if has some like SC900 : ProCon xxx, It could mean there is a problem with Devices process...
