Check the contacts for the transfer belt on the inside front of the machine. If one of them is pushed inside the machine this can happen.

I had one do that. Replacing the control panel did not help. I ended up replacing the main board to resolve the issue.

Make sure both the lamps on coming on. Seen some where only one lamp was coming on. It did not throw an error code.
Replace the duplex clutches.
There is a developer clutch on those units that can cause light print or no print. I would check that.
I think the Reduce or Enlarge trick that was mentioned should work.

The door on the left that you open to clear jams can break. It is hard to see but I have had to replace a couple of the doors on those ADF'S.

Hard to remember that far back. I may have replaced the Inverter chute assembly.
I don't know about a C3110 but on the C35 I used to replace the entire transport assembly on the right door.
You could try running the function F-8 to see if that help's.

The upper roller comes with bearing's already on the roller. this series does not use bearing's on the lower roller. There are no bushing's on either roller.
